Yes infact I do have a take on it. I was contacted by a journalist for the British 
newspaper, "The Sun". He said then when he contacted Effelsberg they denied it but then 
said that several scientists who woked on the 100 meter telescope were abroad. Additional

You should also note that the engineer has never mentioned Effelsberg by name, he just said 
"a major european radio observatory". There are a few others that could have been the one 
that confirmed his signal. He has been tight lipped about who they are and where they are 
from.
