Date: 8/2/00 4:29:32 PM Pacific Daylight Time  attached is an image from the LASCO C3 camera from 2218 UTC this afternoon. The massive CME seen in the image was coincident to a very large disappearing solar filament [DSF] ... This "ribbon" filament feature was enormous, I had been observing it along the NE limb for several days before today's detachment [eruption] occurred.

EDITOR: Had some rough reviews dealing with this BLACK HOLE issue below, but it keeps coming at me in email, so here goes: Sol and her fleet of planets seem to be sailing the rougher electromagnetic seas. Recently Comet Linear exploded as though it hit a force field, like a plasma beam in line with Ursa Major. Likewise we have heard of a mysterious searchlight phenomenon in the big Dipper. So what's going on? Although I doubt we will all go zzzt on August 11th, certainly zzzt we are in fact destined to go in time. Some feel we are edging near a disturbance, a cosmic maelstrom, a black hole or a quantum-level pulse. Is this true?  Sleuths? Afterthought, maybe we are finally edging out of a black hole, or maybe we dart in and out like wee Tinkerbells, praise Pan.

So, if my math is right and my little hand held calculator hasn’t gone bonkers, I guess I will have a chance to look at my new software, and yes, if we are really traveling at 1 million miles an hour towards the black hole in Cassiopeia, The Earth will get swallowed up, IN ABOUT 6 Million years or so, IF something else doesn’t happen sooner. more

EDITOR: Think your math may have scrubbed the 8/11 issue, unless we are missing some sort of quantum-pulse phenomena, a non-locality thing, or that alleged searchlight black hole seen by Los Alamos astros below Ursa Major. Still wondering why the CMEs recently off the sun are showing "wind-shear." Any ideas what might be blowing in towards the sun?

Hi Kent, Concerning The "Swallowing Black Hole" and in reply to the fellow who did the calculations, one forgot to take in consideration the principle of acceleration. The closer an object gets to a force that is exerting a positive attraction to that object, the faster the object of attraction is drawn to it. Therefore the speed mentioned, theoretically, is not constant, but would be increasing by the second. Also something to ponder, is this the basis of the Brookhaven's Black Hole experiments? Hmmmm!

Kent, I just started to reread A. N. Dmitriev paper PLANETOPHYSICAL STATE OF THE EARTH AND LIFE and was fascinated to see this prediction:

2.1 The Geomagnetic Field Inversion.

"The current geomagnetic inversion frequency growth phase may not lead to an increase in oceanic volume from polar warming, but rather to a decrease in ocean levels."

I'm sure you saw the Tuvalu Sea Level article going around . As you know, it is always a point in its favor when a scientific theory makes a (seemingly) far out prediction that is later independently confirmed. So maybe we should increase Dmitriev 's overall credibility by a notch or 10 ?

Kent - I spoke with my mother-in-law who lives in Ridgecrest, CA on Monday and she said that there was an 'epidemic' of cars there that wouldn't start last weekend - like all of the sudden alot of car batteries went dead...I thought that was just a little strange, don't you? My mother-in-law thought maybe it was from the 116+ degrees that they've had for the past several days, but I wouldn't think that would be the cause - do you? I'm thinking EMP pulses, perhaps?

Kent; The massive number of car failures being reported on July 31st might be worth more investigation by your team of sleuths. My car (and my CEO's), both were unexpectedly dead on Monday morning. Both were due to electrical problems. The local Toronto CAA line was jammed that morning and it took several phone calls to finally get through to them. The tow truck driver said it was unexpectedly one of the busiest days he'd had all year, that the high number of car failures was more typical of a winter storm than a gorgeous summer day. I might also add, it was not extremely hot or cold here, as was reported in California. Possibly there is more to this than just coincidence?

Could this unusual phenomenon have possibly been triggered by a geophysical (tectonic), solar, cosmic or man-made event? If geophysical, could this serve as an early warning to a potential major event? If so, what and where?

What's the deal with batteries lately? In the last 2 days our van battery went completely dead, and our car battery is doing so poorly it barely turns to engine over, and the clock resets to 0 when starting. The car is only 1 month old and I have taken it to the shop. Went to a wedding yesterday and I was suppose to videotape it. Had the battery fully charged before I left, and the battery was stone dead when I got there. Then I tried to take some still pictures, and one of the batteries in the flash was missing! Last night the batteries went dead in our TV remote and had to be replaced. It could all be a coincidence, but does seem strange. Temperatures here in Tennessee have not been unseasonably hot the last week.

Large earthquakes are often preceded by dead car batteries. I was just in LA last week and there seems to be a small EQ event on the horizon, but nothing large as I could tell. Unless, it is way out in the desert like Ludlow(Hector Mine quake). I would say a a 3.0 to 4.8 event appears probable, shortly.
