Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez has apparently become
aware of the "Loose Change" theory of 9/11 and is raising it as a possibility
against the Bush Administration, discussing the details of an induced implosion,
etc. While it is a quickening of the drumbeat to have a national president
raise the issue, he could hardly be a worse choice (apart from, say, Fidel,
Saddam, Gaddafi or the president of Iran). It is thus hard to
say at this point whether Chavez' joinder to the crowd will help or hurt
justice being done in the long run.
Nevertheless, it may be helpful that a national
leader finally gives some credence to the theory, even if it is only Chavez,
as it will pour fuel on the fire and bestir debate on the subject in the
right circles. After all, it is to be expected that the sensational,
conspiratorial aspect of this will draw marginal characters like Oliver Stone
and Chavez to the issue first, before the wandering dissidents are joined
by a thundering mass of outraged citizens, demanding Bush and Cheney's heads
on pikes in the Mall. On balance, I would say the drumbeat quickens
yet again. Bush had better have an exit strategy . . . and I don't
mean from Iraq.
We need to keep pouring on the heat on this issue. This is the most
heinous form of treason and it must not go unanswered and unavenged.
Bush, Cheney, Rice and Rumsfeld must be impeached, tried and executed!
And, Kent, you can sign my name to this one. My direct
ancestors, Presidents John Adams and John Quincy Adams, did not found
and lead this country to turn it over to a coven of murderous conspirators
like this. Bush and his conspirators have defiled their sacred offices
and betrayed all of the good men and women who made our country the hope
of the world. These vile scum must be driven from the temple and destroyed,
and their corporate masters likewise driven after them.
Let justice be done though the heavens fall! They should be executed
in the Washington Mall and their ashes spread upon the seas, with a statute
passed that no memorial on American soil will be erected, inscribed or otherwise
established in their memory.
Sic semper tyrannis!
