The day all across the PNW when we had power problems (batteries, cell
phones dead, etc) this pattern was over us in the Columbia Basin. You're
looking down upon the Columbia Basin in these shots. You can see the confluence
of the Snake and Columbia rivers. Just a heads up.... this stuff is for
real.
dunno if you've heard anything but this is big, affecting tmobile wireless
customers as well, we had issues in Las Vegas, Irvine, LA, Northern Cali,

Kent, here in Virginia beach, we had a wide area,power out at 3;45 in

As for the Azurite and Malachite Nodules (spheres,
balls) they are from the
Morrison
Formation (I have worked as a geologist and assayer) south of
La Sal Jct., Utah.
I have seen this feature elsewhere. NASA tests should show high in Copper!
At the moment the Morrison is under snow.
When I first saw the picture, I was stuck
by how the host rock on Mars looks like Morrison Formation (old salt ocean
seabed rock), and looking at the Blue Spheres was like knowing the answer
to the 10 million (64,000) dollar Question.
The questions I would ask now, how do the same
conditions exist on Mars and Earth and just how was the Great Basin formed

Hi Kent. Has anyone pointed out this one yet, on the Spirit Panoramic
Camera :: Sol 052 (54 images) Am I seeing things or is there a white rectangular
'something' partially buried on right below centre which looks decidedly
artificial.

Hi Kent, Call me crazy,
but
this picture totally made me jump. In the lower left-hand corner it looks
like a stone head.......there are diagonally cut lines in opposite directions,
giving the appearance of braids, or a head dress seam. Below that appears
to be 2 oval eyes, (horizontally) almost giving a "Darth Vader" type look.

The cave is located next to an ancient lake, Lake Lahontan, which dried
out about 1400 years ago. It is estimated that hunter-gatherer tribes visited
the site as early as 4,600 years ago and the cave was intensively occupied
about 3,500 years ago until just 150 years ago. All of the evidence helps
to support the theory that the cave has been inhabited on and off for over
9,000 years.
Spirit Cave man has
very non-PC reddish hair, not unlike the "red-haired giants" who were
massacred by the Paiutes just 30 miles north of his burial site. (A few
scientists have explained Spirit Cave Man's hair color to a chemical change
upon exposure to light.
