NASA declares location for Mars Global Surveyor "face" at: 40.8 degrees North, 9.6 degrees West

Lucas finds the data-geological-formation at 30 degrees North, 105 degrees West (based on a *clue)

EDITOR'S NOTE: Elaine Lucas has spent hundreds of hours looking at a region on Mars at 30 degrees North by 105 degrees West. She has discovered a structure or geographical formation that when enhanced seems to have a similar thumbprint as NASA's alleged Surveyor "face." The data is presented for others to examine and enhance as well, to prove or disprove.

At approximately 10:49 PM PST, after installing the Lucas research, ORBIT Eaglenet archives, including Cydonia data, were hacked. NOTES. Hack partially repaired, 5/1/99.

Subj: MGS Face turns up, but not in Cydonia? NASA?

For a couple of months, I've been searching an area, on Mars, designated as 30x105. My search began due to a 'clue' I'd read which stated the following:

"The photographs that are coming up on the web of the face and Cydonia are not the areas everyone thinks they are. They're also not doctored, they are true untouched photos of a area in the 10th parallel, 100th latitude, 9 degrees longitude...the longitude and latitude for the...location, as if it were on Earth...[is] 30 degrees north, 6 minutes 105 degrees west, 6 minutes...."

"If someone is knowledgeable on Mars weather magnetic patterns and if they will compare original Cydonia photos with the current ones, they'll notice that weather patterns on Mars are constant, therefore, the 2 sets of photos can't be the same area."

Using the PDS Viking Armchair Astronaut Map, I noticed an area, to the north-east, that looked familiar. It's an anomaly which closely resembles the 'stretched' face image sent out by Malin.

Although, the 'stretched mesa' at 30x105 has many anomalies in common with the MGS face, it's a very hard area to enhance. Pulling up the entire face and having  it end up looking like Malin's could prove to be quit a job due to the extreme brightness and dark shadows within the same enhancement area. You'll notice, though, that the *same* side of the MGS face and the PDS map face are less than perfect. In the Malin photo, this area seems to have been smoothed out and flattened.

Top Latitude = 31.500000 degrees north.

Bottom Latitude = 29.500000 degrees north.

Left Longitude = 106.000000 degrees west.

Right Longitude = 104.000000 degrees west
