I do remember in days of old we used to sit in front of the console of our Air Traffic Controller radar and fry rabbits! The antennae was set up for glide slope approach and the power turned up to max and the rabbits would drop like flies! We thought it was cool, dumb 19 year olds yep I know.

Throughout the history of science, the distinction between revolutionary science and what we can call pathological science has not always been so clear. Both extremes of the spectrum are characterized by a common trait: the ability of a scientist (or a community of scientists) to "think outside the box." But what is the box that they must be outside of?

Science is a single method of many. For instance the methods of the poet the mythologist or even the mom with a brood of kids are all different but somehow parallel. I think that the evasive unified theory not only involves the glue that holds science together within its own domain, but the glue that unites all the methods---maybe to much to ask.
