About 3-4 months ago, they both put their houses up for sale almost simultaneously. Approximately last Monday (Aug. 22), moving vans showed up and both houses were vacated at that point! In September 1999, Hurricane Floyd -- a category 3 -- was bearing down the
Carolinas and Virginia.
President Clinton was in Christchurch, New Zealand - meeting with President
Jiang of China (you know, actually working). He made the proclamation that
only Presidents can make and declared the areas affected by Floyd "Federal
Disaster Areas" so the National Guard and Military can begin to mobilize.
Then he cut short his meetings overseas and flew home to coordinate the
rescue efforts. This all one day BEFORE a Cat-3 hit the coast. That is how
you do it.
How about this dope's own father during Hurricane Andrew? Once again,
President Bush (41) -- August, 1992 -- was in the midst of a brutal
campaign
for re-election. Yet, he cut off his campaigning the day before and went
to
Washington where he martialed the largest military operation on US soil in
history. He sent in 7,000 National Guard and 22,000 regular military
personnel, and all the gear to begin the clean up within hours after Andrew
passed through Florida. 'Cause, you know, those people and their stuff was
actually where it belonged, rather than being used for insurgent
target-practice halfway around the world in a vain effort to make Iraq safe
for Iranian takeover.
In August of 1969 when Cat-5 Hurricane Camille hit roughly the same area
as
Katrina, President Nixon had already readied the National Guard and ordered
all Gulf rescue vessels and equipment from Tampa and Houston to follow the
Hurricane in. There were over 1,000 regular military with two dozen
helicopters to assist the Coast Guard and National Guard within hours after
the skies cleared.
Bush 43 - August 2005 - Cat-5 Hurricane Katrina bears down on New Orleans
and the Mississippi gulf. Both states are down nearly 8,000 National Guard
troops because they are in Iraq -- with most of the rescue gear needed.
Bush
is on vacation. The day before Katrina makes landfall, Bush rides his bike
for two hours. The day she hits, he goes to Johnnie McCain's birthday
party;
and lies to old people about the multi-billion-dollar pharmaceutical
company
welfare boondoggle. People are dying, the largest port of entry in the
United States (and fifth largest in the World) is under attack. Troops and
supplies are desperately needed. The levees are cracking and the emergency
1-1/2 ton sandbags are ready, but there aren't enough helicopters or pilots
to set them before the levees fail. The mayor of New Orleans begs for
Federal coordination, but there is none, and the sandbagging never gets
done. So Bush -- naturally -- goes to San Diego to play guitar with country
singer and lie to the military about how Iraq is just exactly like WWII.
The
levees give way, filling New Orleans with water, sewage, oil and chemicals.
Ten percent of all US exports, and 50% of all agricultural exports
ordinarly
go through this port. It is totally destroyed. Bush decides he'll end his
vacation a couple of days early -- TOMORROW --BECAUSE HE HAS TICKETS TO A
PADRES GAME! He goes back to the Fake Farm in Crawford, with every
intention
of doing something on WEDNESDAY about this disaster that happened starting
last Sunday night.
Failure to plan. Too little response, too late. Insufficent troop and
equipment levels -- sound familiar?
New Orleans Mayor Nagin: "There is way too many fricking ... cooks in the
kitchen" I watched this. This guy is pissed off at the lack of Federal
coordination and help.

A day after Hurricane Katrina dealt a devastating blow to the Big Easy, New
Orleans Mayor Ray Nagin on Tuesday night blasted what he called a lack of
coordination in relief efforts for setting behind the city's recovery.
"There is way too many fricking ... cooks in the kitchen," Nagin said in
a
phone interview with WAPT-TV in Jackson, Mississippi, fuming over what he
said were scuttled plans to plug a 200-yard breach near the 17th Street
Canal, allowing Lake Pontchartrain to spill into the central business
district. An earlier breach occurred along the Industrial Canal in the
city's Lower 9th Ward.

The Corps has workers assessing damage at the two locations. The National
Guard, Coast Guard and state and federal agencies are working with the
agency to speed the process, it reported.

But [Mayor] Nagin said a repair attempt was supposed to have been made
Tuesday.
According to the mayor, Black Hawk helicopters were scheduled to pick up
and
drop massive 3,000-pound sandbags in the 17th Street Canal breach, but were
diverted on rescue missions. Nagin said neglecting to fix the problem has
set the city behind by at least a month.
"I had laid out like an eight-week to ten-week timeline where we could get
the city back in semblance of order. It's probably been pushed back another
four weeks as a result of this," Nagin said.
"That four weeks is going to stop all commerce in the city of New Orleans.
It also impacts the nation, because no domestic oil production will happen
in southeast Louisiana."
Nagin said he expects relief efforts in the city to improve as New Orleans,
the National Guard and FEMA combine their command centers for better
communication, followup and accountability.
Just an utter failure of federal leadership. No coordination in the run up
and immediate aftermath as with every other modern hurricane event. Why?
These things are usually coordinated by the White House and Pentagon. Where
were they?

Earthquake near Asheville, N.C., felt in North Georgia

A late-night earthquake centered near Asheville, N.C., shook homes in North Georgia on Wednesday night, (8-24) but appeared to have caused no damage locally.
The 3.8-magnitude quake, which hit at 11:09 p.m., was centered about two miles southeast of Hot Springs, N.C., about 25 miles north of Asheville, according to the U.S. Geological Survey's National Earthquake Information Center.
The temblor shook houses in Athens and in the mountains of northeast Georgia.
"I was already in bed, but my wife was still up, and she came in and said the kitchen was vibrating," said Aaron Stanley, a deputy with the Union County Sheriff's Office in Blairsville.
"She said the dishes were rattling around."
Officials with the U.S. Geological Survey said the earthquake was also felt in the northern suburbs of Atlanta.
The USGS received 10 reports of the quake from Gwinnett County, eight from Fulton County and three from Cobb County.
No damage was reported in Georgia.
Seismic activity in the part of North Carolina where Wednesday's quake was centered has been "rare," according to Tim Long, a professor of earth and atmospheric science at Georgia Tech.
"Earthquakes of that magnitude occur about every five to 10 years, but usually, they're over toward Knoxville, northwest Georgia and northeast Alabama," Long said.
"This one was right in the middle of the mountains.
"It's not an area where we've had many earthquakes recently," he said. "In the late 1800s and early 1900s, there were a number of earthquakes in that area of western North Carolina. That area apparently had quieted down, and this is a change."
Long said there are no recognized faults in that area of North Carolina.
He said residents of western North Carolina can expect aftershocks from Wednesday night's quake.
"All earthquakes have aftershocks," Long said. "It's just a question of how many and when. For an earthquake of this size, I would expect in the next two weeks for there to be a number in the magnitude 2, 2 1/2 to 3 range."
Long said he doubts any of the aftershocks would be felt as far away as metro Atlanta. "They probably wouldn't be felt out of that [North Carolina] area," he said.
The last significant quake to be felt in metro Atlanta — an April 29, 2003, earthquake that measured 4.9 in magnitude and was centered near Fort Payne, Ala. — was about 10 times stronger than Wednesday night's temblor.

Regarding hurricane manipulation... I used to think, "What bunk!" Now I am concerned that Katrina was created, manufactured, and possibly by our own government.
What would be the motive? To cleanse the population of unwanteds --primarily poor Afro-Americans. To turn around Bush's falling approval rating. To create great demand for oil and exponentially increase the Fat Cats' profits. I would be curious to know how many companies took out extra insurance in advance of the storm, who was warned to get out in advance, what stocks were dumped. Picture 911 all over again.
In the rescue effort during the hurricane's aftermath, we have seen delays and mismanagement by the president, head of FEMA and Homeland Insecurity. Somebody is calling the shots and and preventing aid from getting to the hurricane victims. There is public and media outrage over Bush incompetency while thousands of people die needlessly.

I am a resident of the Bywater in New Orleans (9th Ward). I am one of the lucky ones that was able to evacuate before the storm.
I have recently managed to speak to some friends stranded in New Orleans. They are starving and dehydrating and there is no news of when they will be receiving food and water. I have spoken to relief efforts and understand that there are plenty of supplies waiting for these people, BUT THEY ARE NOT BEING ALLOWED INTO THE CITY.
The National Guard has the city surrounded and is not letting anyone in or out, except the buses being evacuated. The excuse that they can not bring supplies into New Orleans because of the looting and gun fire is not a valid excuse - if they are too afraid to enter the streets of New Orleans, they need to be air dropping supplies into the city. If the United States is capable of sending planes that can withstand enemy fire to drop bombs in Iraq, certainly they are capable of air dropping supplies into a city where the worst of the gunfire they could encouter would be from semi-automatics.
Our government is killing the people of New Orleans. By witholding supplies, they are ensuring more deaths, and I hold them complicit.
Please bring this matter to the attention of the people of the United States. They need to know that New Orleans is deliberatly being denied food and water. Perhaps if the people there had food and water, they might not be shooting off guns.

Also heard that part of the reason our house flooded is they dynamited part of the levee after the first section broke - they did this to prevent Uptown (the rich part of town) from being flooded. Apparently they used too much dynamite, thus flooding part of the Bywater. So now I know who is responsible for flooding my house - not Katrina, but our government.

I guess nobody in ANY media wants to go on record talking about the US and Russian military working on concert with each other to manipulate weather and destroy an American city. Of course the ostensible purpose would be to provide an excuse for martial law (as a social experiment, similar to picking people off houses w/choppers and dropping them onto islands in N.O.?) first in a small city and then on to the rest of oil-starved, panic-ridden America.

Sure thing, Kent. But you know me, that's just the tip of the iceberg - there's a LOT more where that came from - but figured that would be enough for most people to chew on for a while.
Don't remember how much I told you about the research I did with Bill Brown (in Sedona) whose co-researchers included Tom Bearden, Wm. Tiller and Norm Shealy, but it was mostly about weather/mind control using Tesla technology. We uncovered a LOT about the cooperative efforts to develop this between BOTH the Russians and the US military. Last time I worked with Bill, he had found about 40 transmitters at various US bases. This all got translated into GWEN and then HAARP. Some of the info they dug up was published by a small press (Liberty Bell Books, Sedona) under the title Weather War Worldwide in 1983. Good general overview of the technology of the time, if you can find it.
Remember my little GWEN experience in Kanab, UT, in '94? The AF was applying for a building permit from the Kane County Comm's and I went to a couple of meetings. They knew nothing of the technology involved, but had been given an environmental impact statement by the AF. They asked me to read, analyze and give them a report on it. Wish I'd kept a copy, but essentially it was a whitewash, claiming it had no real effects on anything, animal, vegetable or mineral - yes, they even "studied" the effects of the frequencies it would use on the soil and even the groundwater, or made reference to other past studies.
What was very telling about the report is the equipment discussed. As far as I could tell, it was all above-ground, all solid state and NOT radiation hardened. Which led me to wonder why would they use the argument that it was needed as a comm system for after a high altitude EMP burst which would put everything else out of commission if it was made up of components susceptible to EMP itself? My report back to the County Commissioners basically focused on the lack of human studies (except for a reference to research done in some Scandinavian country at a very different frequency) and info on what had happened in other states which had allowed the Navy to install the Project Sanguine transmitters. Those good Mormons were VERY concerned about the spontaneous abortions and mutated cattle (and human babies) that resulted from the earlier ELF transmissions in the 1950's, so they voted to turn down the construction permit.
That's it in a nutshell, but there's a lot more behind all that stuff I was doing back then - and the devil is in the details (like GWEN equipment not being radiation hardened).
Essentially, the world's military has had the capability to use ELF for weather-steering since the early 50's, starting with applications of Wilhelm Reich's cloudbusters. Those things are basically long-wave resonators, if built correctly, but the energy translation and conduction of orgone is the part most "engineering types" don't get. So it was a "military secret" for as long as dumbed-down Harvard graduates didn't have the science of the Life Force in their curriculum. The military soon turned to electronics with the so-called weather balloon experiments which lofted orgone transmitters into the sky. See the research done on those by Preston Nichols and Al Bielek for more detail. I had a back-engineering style analytical report he'd done on them back in '93 but lost it somewhere along the way. Cloud seeding was old hat by then (the mid 50's) but that was what was presented to a very gullible public. Had to give the sheeple some reason why there were weird weather patterns over the country. There were thousands of transmitters put up over the years, but apparently there were very few (or no) receivers for them ever found in the electronic junkyards. That's what made Preston decide to analyze what they were and that's when he found out their actual purpose.
Of course, the CIA was more than willing to use the orgone technology for other purposes at the same time, but mind control is a whole different topic. The common factor is the frequencies involved - right down around the Schumann resonance frequency. Happens to be what all life forms on this planet have evolved with and right in the middle of our own brainwave range. So when birds are going crazy trying to get their bearings for migration, it's not simply a matter of Earth's magnetic flux lines fluctuating. HAARP's side effects (and some of its intended effects) will be put to widespread use some day when the PTB feel threatened enough and Heaven help us when they do.
By the time the so-called "Russian Woodpecker" (Over The Horizon radar) was heard hammering the amateur radio bands in the 70's, both military groups had enough experience in weather engineering to direct the scalar-wave beams. But the US capabilities were kept more secret and applied in ways that would point the finger at the Russians. Guess they didn't figure on somebody like Bill Brown. He was more famous for his etheric surgery practice back in Toccoa, GA, and less well known for his collaboration with Robert Monroe in developing the latter's OOB techniques. Bill was the source for a lot of Monroe's ideas and Carol Carr, who later wound up in Sedona, was Monroe's "guinea pig" for the techniques. Interestingly enough, at the same time the CIA was funding the SRI RV'ing research, they were also consulting with Monroe. Carol told me that often she would be present when Bill Brown had just finished a session testing Monroe's latest application of one of Bill's suggestions and had just left, when into Monroe's office walk a few CIA types and they go behind closed doors. Very convenient that The Monroe Inst. is located in Faber, VA - a little over a 2 hour drive from Langley.
Anyway, by the time the OTH radar was being used more often than not, Bill's practice had been curtailed quite a bit by the 10.000000000000 Hz "noise" he was constantly subjected to. That's when he moved to Sedona, mostly to get away from the beam path that Toccoa was on but also because the doctors on "the other side" that worked on patients through him told him that he would find people there who would help him. One friend of mine, who had been there for several years already, was an old broadcast tech who built a Tesla transmitter for Bill and when they fed some numbers into the machine, via a radionics type hookup, the noise seemed to settle down and Bill had some relief - briefly. It wasn't long before new piggybacked frequencies were being transmitted on the microwave "carrier" and Bill was back at the drawing board coming up with more frequencies to program into his own "shield", which now surrounded Sedona. Needless to say, every time he came up with a new frequency to counter what was being transmitted, "they" would come up with a new one (or more).
That's when I showed up in Sedona. I rebuilt his transmitter (it had been incorrectly translated from schematic to perfboard by the other guy), tuned it and set up a computer system for Bill to work with. Now he could calculate new frequencies much faster but, as we soon saw, those who were doing the transmitting were coming up with new frequencies almost daily. He finally went out of body to several of the transmitting sites, locating them, consulting with Tom Bearden (who checked with his mil contacts and VERIFIED the new locations) and would reprogram the thing almost daily. He ended up chasing his tail for a long time and never did get back to his practice of etheric surgery, for which he was well known in many Eastern Establishment research hospital circles. But the info we gained on the development of the ELF weather and mind control technology was invaluable, as far as I'm concerned. It verified almost everything we had heard in hushed tones from various other sources who passed through town now and then. Bill finally just spent all his time going out of body, getting new frequencies almost every day and plugging them into the transmitter, just so he could get some sleep each night. I gave up trying to help him, as he had his own very ingrained thoughts on how to combat the transmissions and it was difficult to get him to listen to any other way of nullifying it.
That was back in the mid-80's.
By then GWEN was being implemented and HAARP was on the horizon (pardon the pun). I think the location chosen was not just because it offered a useful path for the steerable beams but also because it was so far away from prying eyes that it would be hard for anybody doing any serious research (not directly connected with the military) to go there without being seen. The last ELF xmitter Bill had located before I gave up trying to help him was in Dayton OH (yes, Wright-Pat). Virtually ALL of the 40 xmitters in N.A. were on mil bases. Too close to home, so-to-speak. So way out in the middle of nowhere, Alaska is a perfect place - and as long as the whole system is steerable, it almost doesn't matter where they locate it and the other xmitters they use to cross the scalar beams.
What I'm saying is that the technology has been available to them for over 50 years, they have proven it for their own purposes and developed it for applications in warfare. Who they're going to war against is the big question, but I think that should be obvious when we see what just happened in New Orleans/Biloxi. The generation of a hurricane system halfway across the ocean from where they are naturally born is one tell-tale sign. The timing and steering it over water which is "unusually" warm is another. One report I heard was that the water in the Gulf was about 95 deg., instead of the more average mid to high 80's. That'd be a lot of digging for data at noaa to verify, but it's probably correct. The GOES 12 sea surface temp data is updated every 3 hours and looking back over the last several years at raw data might take a while. Maybe I can find a report somewhere for you. I do note, however, that much of the area East and South of Cuba is about 92 deg. today, just as the next two hurricanes are coming in, as well as mostly along the coast of TX, but cooler where Katrina has just passed. It'd be interesting to see the daily sea surface temps along the path of last year's hurricanes and correlate it with the time they were OVER those areas.
I just downloaded a series of GOES 12 images, from Thursday through Monday, and you can see that the water temp was around 92 all along the hurricane's path for those days and is now under that temp. I'll send them along. They're combined images of all those taken over each day (dates/times are UTC).

1. The movie “Oil Storm” apparently appeared on FX in April 2005, according to reports. (I did not see it.) Supposedly it had exactly the scenario that occurred, together with the damage to the oil infrastructure. The Illuminati usually sneaks out a warning. This damage could devastate the economy. Wait and see.
2. The hurricane itself, had a pentagram eye structure revealing hyper-dimensional control and enhancement. This is done by forcibly altering the time-space continuum (or the aether, if you prefer) around the hurricane. The pentagram or hexagram in the eye revealed this to have been occurring. Jim Hoagland said that last summers hurricanes were in effect “target practice.” I agree. Real Dave announced in advance on GLP Ivan’s impossible track. Yes, they were just testing the system. Second, the hurricane had passed when the breaches occurred. Third, the Industrial Canal (flanked by levees) essentially splits the city in two. So the Industrial Canal levee was blown to flood the area to the east. While the 17-th Street Canal was blown to flood the central area. Years ago, I have personally seen waves from Lake Pontchatrain driven by gale-force winds, slosh over the levee that is in effect Lake Shore Drive, and flood the neighborhood near by. Guess what? It did not fail. The levees that were blown were concrete slab type construction, from what I saw on TV September 2, 2005. You probably noticed, Bush on vacation, catastrophic event, he takes days

Then you got you FEMA thing, which a little strange, even if it is hurricane

And add to that, our military is completing drills, supposedly centering

So, FEMA delays , on orders, reacting to Katrina, creating chaos and
violence, desperation , hunger, thirst. "Ah" the government says, we

send in troops, martial law, and all that.
So, Bush is conveniently on vacation, delays reacting, and then FEMA plays
stupid on national television. "Oh my, no the FEMA director didn't
know how
bad it was, until the president told him."
Oh yeh, right.

And, the eye of that storm had star spokes in it. At the same
time, in the
Atlantic there were v-shaped chemtrails, and what looked like a bowling ball
of a cloud hurled itself through the point, pointing tward the US east
coast.
I saw the same in the Gulf of Mexico, with straight line clouds before 2
storms, at an angle from about the western edge of Florida to Mexico.
The
fist storms went south of this , and one or two went in east of the northern
point.
I also saw the bowling ball thing happen with a couple of the chemtrails
that were laid. One came from the direction of Texas, NASA maybe, east
Texas, near coast.
This storm looked like a naturally occurring storm for the most part, even
in its movement, other than it curling around Florida. usually
they do
their cork screw dance in the middle Gulf, or near the Texas coast, like
Carla. To form that near the coast is also a common thing. Remember
Allison, and it's devastating effect on Houston a few years ago.
But there were screwy thing going on at the same time as Katrina.

Like most people, I've been watchin' this, in a Rod Serling movie mode. Wow !!!
Katrina did not form out by the Bahama's, it started out by Africa and came across the pond.
Let me back up a tad. We live in Pt. St. Lucie Fla. Storm Tour '04 with 2.ish storms. Francis, Ivan's encore presntation then Jeanne. We learned a lot on how to get thru the aftermath. For this humble one I have applied those lessons over the past year to be ready this year.
Back to Katrina, You can be sure I have been on top of storm activity this year and Katrina started over by Africa. It came over the pond, flaring up and dying down repeatedly. To me it looked like a Energy Pulse comin' over the water. I had a bad feeling about this the whole time. Didn't know what was going to go down but I knew in the end it would not be Pretty!
Katrina jumped Ugly out by the Bahama's and the race was afoot. For a while it jigged toward our area then turned back sou'west and off to the gulf. Guess those good folk in south Florida that defrauded the relief funds last year are kickin' themselves this year. Karma don't ya know!
This time last year we were in the dark and the winds were a howlin' ... or maybe we were in the Eye ... those memories are a lil' skewed! But We stuck together and took care of each other. We shared food, ice, water or what ever to make sure everyone got thru.
I do hope this is the last blast of the season, we will see.

New Orleans - Police shot eight people carrying guns on a New Orleans bridge on Sunday, killing five or six, a deputy chief said.
A spokesperson for the army corps of engineers said the victims were contractors on their way to repair a canal.
The contractors were walking across a bridge on their way to launch barges into Lake Pontchartrain to fix the 17th Street Canal, said John Hall, a spokesperson for the corps.
Earlier on Sunday, New Orleans deputy police chief WJ Riley said police shot at eight people, killing five or six.
The shootings took place on the Danziger Bridge, which spans a canal connecting Lake Pontchartrain and the Mississippi River.
No other details were immediately available.

UNITED NATIONS (Reuters) - The Bush administration,
long critical of the
United Nations, has accepted a U.N. offer of help in
the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina and a U.N. team has
gone to Washington to see how it can complement
American efforts.
The United Nations on Sunday announced the United
States had accepted its aid offer and said its staff
will be based at the USAID Hurricane Operations
Center, where international assistance is being
coordinated.
U.N. officials, often criticized by Republicans in
Washington, said the world body's teams could be
useful in coordinating and setting priorities for
foreign aid offers.
They "are ready to provide emergency staff and a wide
variety of relief supplies as and when necessary," the
U.N. statement said.
On Friday Secretary-General
Kofi Annan told
President George W. Bush that a U.N. task force was at
work in anticipation of U.S. requests for assistance
and expertise.
The task force found that U.N. agencies could supply
water storage tanks, water purification tablets, high
energy biscuits, generators, planes, tents and other
emergency supplies as well as experienced staff
members, U.N. spokeswoman Marie Okabe said.
She said that the United Nations had disaster teams
trained to evaluate needs and coordinate aid,
including over 100 experts specializing in floods and
earthquakes. The United Nations sent five teams to the
Indian Ocean area in December after the
earthquake-caused tsunami and flooding.
Annan last week issued a statement offering the United
States "any assistance that the United Nations can
give."
"We will be happy to work with other parts of the
international community to support the efforts of
President Bush and his administration, the
American Red Cross, and other U.S. relief
organizations who have been our partners in the past,"
Annan said.
The U.N. Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian
Affairs known as OCHA, is chairing the task force,
which includes the World Food Program, the
World Health Organization,
UNICEF, the U.N. Children's Fund and the U.N. High
Commissioner for Refugees.
In a reversal, the United States, a major world donor
itself, last week let it be known it would accept help
from a variety of nations.
Secretary of State
Condoleezza Rice has decided "no offer that can help
alleviate the suffering of the people in the afflicted
area will be refused," State Department spokesman Sean
McCormack said on Thursday.
Some 60 nations have offered help, from longtime
American friends such as Japan, Germany, Canada,
France and Britain as well as Cuban President
Fidel Castro, who is willing to donate doctors and
medicine and the Venezuelan government, frequently

BATON ROUGE, La. According to various reports, Jefferson Parish President Aaron Broussard has stated he will allow residents back in the parish as early as Monday morning to recover belongings and photograph property damage from Hurricane Katrina.
From the various reports, at this time, there appears to be no time limit on how long residents can stay.
According to en e-mail Saturday evening, Louisiana Representative Steve Scalise of Jefferson stated, "Local officials are still saying people can begin entering at 6am on Monday. There is not time limit on how long you can stay, but officials are warning that conditions will be primitive and some roads will still be difficult to maneuver due to downed trees and power lines. There is also a boil order in place so even if your house has running water (some neighborhoods have LOW pressure), they are encouraging you not to use it and you still need to boil any water you use. Here´s where it gets a little complicated. Governor Blanco said today she is discouraging people from entering Jefferson Parish Monday. Another challenge will be that gasoline is hard to come by so if you do try to come in, make sure to keep your tank full because you won´t be able to fill up anywhere around Jefferson so if you run out of gas you´ll be stranded. Jefferson appears to be mostly dried out but there are still a lot of trees down that are being removed as we speak. I-10 is accessible until Clearview and then it is blocked after that because Causeway at I-10 is still a staging area for emergency personnel. Latest reports I have is that the Causeway bridge is only open to emergency personnel".
However, according to the Times Picayune, Gov. Kathleen Blanco said Saturday she´d like to see a little more patience exercised, as residents will have no access to food or fuel, among other supplies.
"We´re going to send a team down with him to plan a way for citizens in certain areas perhaps, but we have to work with him on the timing," Blanco said.
According to the Times Picayune, Broussard said residents will need to show a valid ID to prove they live in Jefferson Parish before being allowed in.
A representative from the Louisiana State Police told Bayoubuzz that there will be a transfer of traffic at I-10 and Hwy 61 and traffic will be diverted to Hwy. 61. He also stated that those in Baton Rouge might just want to ignore I-10 and travel down Hwy. 61. The state police official said that the State police will not assist Jefferson Parish more than the normal manpower in the Parish and the flow of traffic from the east has not yet been studied.
Bayoubuzz comments: Let us hope that Parish President Broussard knows what he is doing here. There were earlier reports that the high-rise bridge in East New Orleans might have been compromised. Do we know if that traffic flow over that structure alone can maintain the incredible inflow of traffic from Mississippi, Alabama and Florida--and elsewhere east? It appears that Jefferson Parish is going solo on this. Broussard might be a hero. He might also be more than a goat if major tragedy occurs with the inflow. Time will tell under very trying circumstances.

Last hurricane scare, Aaron Broussard, the President of Jefferson Parish, jumped the gun by calling for voluntary evaculation in contravention of the overall state plan. Luckily, the storm went east. The maneuver could have been a disaster.
Tomorrow, thousands of vehicles are ready to enter Jefferson Parish. President Broussard again is going against the grain. My understanding is the Governor is against this plan. There are many uncertainties.
Bayoubuzz just received an email from State Representative Steve Scalise of Jefferson Parish who said, “The only area I found with water on the street was parts of Old Metairie. Airline Drive from Severn to the Orleans Parish line is still closed to traffic due to water on the street. Crews are removing downed power lines as well, but many are down so they still estimate it could be 4-6 weeks before power is restored to the whole Parish”.
So, our logic tells us that cars hitting water will force water into the outside perimeters, perhaps houses. Even worse, a tremendous block of real estate is currently blocked off.
So, why the rush.
Nobody can doubt the sincerity of President Broussard as he appeared on Meet The Press. But, with areas blocked, power lines down and water on certain streets, with no certainty that the infrastructure to enter the city from the east is even safe, it question is obvious—Is Jefferson Parish jumping the gun and why power, if any, does Governor Blanco have to stop what could be a catastrophe at worse or a tremendous inconvenience, at best.

This very long article lists countries and their offers of aid/responses to aid requests by the US. In other articles there is info that private massive aid offered WITHIN the US has been refused by FEMA.So why request it from many nations? It is possible that much of the government's supplies have probably gone to Iraq. However, I wonder if opening up the US to UN/NATO access is to be prepared to counter an angry backlash that might erupt(hopefully)against Bush and his administration. Hurricane Katrina was the disaster they have needed to waylay the other major issues they have been confronting. But are they afraid of an uprising of Americans, so they are calling for reenforcements just in case? Nothing they ever do is on the up and up. I don't have much to offer on the Katrian formative investigations, but I do wonder; now that Katria has hit and the devastation so complete - I wonder if now is the time within the next week or two that both Senate bill S-517 and House bill H.R. 2995 won't be rushed out of committee and on the the floors of those respective chambers for quick and somewhat sudden only slighly announced passage.
Or maybe these two bill will now get all sort of MSM positive comments and calls for their immediate passage, as we all know, will be the agrument, that we need to see if there is anything that can be done to dissipate any killer storms or at least reduce their damage.
I think we do well to keep an ear and eye toward Congress at this curcial time.
The effective Oct 1, 2005 for S.517 if passed in a rush, is very interesting in its own right that it would have such a soon and sudden effective date, esp as this bill was presented to committee in March 2005.
Do we see some social engineering going on here with Katrina to bring Weapons of Weather Warfaring out into the open?

Kento: Trent Lott tore a strip off FEMA for not releasing the "20,000 trailers just sitting in Georgia", to be used in Katrina relief. Now that's a LOT of trailers. Assuming they are the standard 40ft contruction type trailer, they should each be able to handle 10-12 people in basic comfort donchya think? So that means these trailers had a latent capacity of 200,000...maybe more if you cram in the folks and supply meals, porta-potties etc in tents etc. So the $64,000 question of the day is this: If not for a disaster, what exactly were these FEMA trailers FOR?????

Does this mean NOAA is expecting this storm to cross over Florida and go west along the coast? Looks like, at this time sept6th, that is what they think will happen on sept 12th (monday next). That means the high pressure would be expected to stay in place to the storm's north (pushing it westward along the coast).

I've been watching this storm on our local Texas radar.
Look at the US Moisture in motion animation half way down the page on the left. There is an area in the gulf directly south of Louisiana moving counterclockwise, the storm on the east side of Florida is going clockwise, but they are in the same cloud mass; very strange.

Was looking at the rather frantic nature of the recent NO postings, and noticed odd occurances:
1. when reading a posted story from local weather TV stations...they mention a heat index, there of 125 F..
2. then when trying to access weather data from say, wunderground.com for these areas, am getting current, and recent temps for Baton Rouge...and N.O. of somewhere in the 109 to 115 degrees, in the weekly charts...then after a short while,and still on their site, the data becomes suddenly inaccessible....apparently my keystrokes to these sites is watched,...but not closely enough!
The normals are generally 87 to 95 on a five year average for most of the state. High humidity also.
But currently, the damned readings are incredulously ....wild! from a morning r.h. index of 70% then way down to 01%!...in a few hours.
3. Tornadoes in Europe have been unheard of in recorded history....until a short time ago when three were seen in the UK.

Can't sleep, been at this a week now. I'm safe and out of the area coordinating the flow of our helos and other stuff into the warzone. Susan, the Coast Guard is the only agency at any level that is functional on the scene and we are going day and night beyond exaustion but we can't stop as people are dying and we haven't even gotten to vast areas below the city and in MS.
Don't mean to blame anyone else, we're just hanging on and sending all we have to the effort but we're so small..One helo crew almost died because they're so tired he almost landed without putting down his wheels. Please pray for my brothers in and flying over the chaos getting shot at trying to save people and drop water. Pray for Frank, my friend who is the Coast Guard officer in charge of the area with the weight of the world on his shoulders.
This reminds me of a couple of movies, Sand Pebbles and of course the burning of Atlanta. This is Haiti. This can't be America. Sorry for laying this on you but even the news can't show what those pilots are telling me and the stacks of pleas for help we are trying to get to. It's the children, Susan. You don't want to know.
Going back on duty now. Can't stop the crisis just keeps growing. I feel so old right now.

It looks like the Navy Research Labs site has been now LOCKED out. http://www.nrlmry.navy.mil , even the home page. Of course this IS a military site, after all. But this is the first time I have very seen it locked out every since I first started using it right after 9/11/01. Had thought it would have been locked out before we went into Afganistan, or Iraq, but it wasn't even then. It is now. It might simply be because of traffic, or it might just be my ISP locking it down... as in all non military ISP's may have been requested to block it or lock it down. Don't know.
At any rate I guess I will need to go back to using the NEXRAD and UNISYS systems and NOAA for weather info.

I've been tracking hurricanes ever since I can remember, went through Carla, Audrey, Betsy, Allison, and a few others. Last year and this one, things don't quite look right.
I don't know if anyone else saw this Monday at sunset, Houston, it looked like there were two suns, one on top the other. Didn't have a camera on me. Planet X ?
Right now, I'm so mad about the New Orleans situation, I could spit. It was named for my great grandparents a few generation back, and family has been there for 3 centuries. Uncle John (Chase), political cartoonist/editoralist is gone now, and he would have so loved to take on Bush co.
Anyway, I'm still looking for some of the family. It feels like they are all right. I hope so.
And now, the latest laugh, Bush wants to head the investigation to investigate himself. Sounds like a bad sitcom, doesn't it, where the bad investigator is the guilty.

This may or may not be pertinent. I sometimes 'see' ,
usually accurately
when I do.
Right before the hurricane, I 'saw' , like remote viewing, someone
in a
dark wetsuit come up out of the lake side of the levy, and someone jogging
asked them what they were doing. No response, and the diver went back
under
the water.
* according to one website, ( ? Hoagland maybe? ) there
were troops in
New Orleans, and area at that time until about the 26th of Aug., soing some
kind of urban drills. That makes the vision I had a bit more
credible.
The night before the levy went, I had another vision.
I, and another
person, were standing under the water trying to keep two straight line
cracks in the levy itself from giving. Tuesday morning
, those two spots
went. This is where, in my vision , the diver and jogger
were.
If the levy itself was degraded under the retaining walls, it
wouldn't
have taken much before it gave way.
That this hurricane fulfilled almost every part of the scenario of
the
military drills, and considering that the military and FEMA acted like New
Orleans was a military take over, instead of search, rescue, and aid,
witnesses that reported this same activity need to be found, or to come
forward.
QUESTION : What would quickly slice through a levy in an almost
straight
line? Underwater? A laser ?

* The morning weather man at KHOU Houston was very nervous this morning
about the developing storm off of Florida. A storm surge like
Katrina
would put the beach about half way across Houston and over parts of I-10.

Has it struck you that the damage from Katrina looks less like it came from a hurricane and more like it was the manifestation of some sort of ...well... hyperdimensional vortex (the only way I can put it really).
I'll confess I know diddly about the engineering and physics but when you compare the effects of the tsunami last year with Katrina's storm surge and the wind effect with other hurricanes (even David), it seems so waaaaay over the top. Yes, I know the winds were packin' 145mph and that explains some houses being demolished but not all. I've seen images of large concrete buildings (steel reinforced concrete...rebar) just torn open like a can of sardines. Interstate-10 across the lake looks like a child's toy that has been "messed up" by a sibbling. Railroad tracks twisted and bent like wet noodles. I get an eerie feeling that there was a lot more to this storm than mere wind and tidal surge.
I wonder if Bearden can shed any light on this? Would a scalar derived storm possess destructive properties beyond the literal wind speed and water wave force? Would it also be whipping up space/time in some way so as to collide with and utterly destroy that which wind alone would not? Nothing...and I mean nothing...about Katrina feels right.

I spoke today to my friend from Slidell, LA, a large north shore suburb of New Orleans that was hard hit. My friend's home was devastated by Katrina's wall of water. Being now homeless and running low on funds he has been trying for days to physically get to FEMA ( after touted online application seemed useless ) to apply for financial and other assistance they purport to offer. He says the closest FEMA office is in Picayune, MS some 20 plus miles to the north. He did evacuate before the storm only to return to his ruined home yesterday so he does have transportation. He says many people have lost means of transportation and cannot get to the FEMA office for assistance. I'd say this is just another instance where it becomes obvious that the agenda at hand has very little to do with helping our fellow Americans recover from this devastating event.

Great site, great stuff but you're are missing a huge segment on your site: electromagnetically caused fires as used in warfare. Check it out and let people know the likelihood of there being as many arsons in NO after Katrina hit as alleged is preposterous. The were resultant of weather warfare.

kent- more and more reports from neworleans surviviors are coming in saying they heard a series of explosions before the water poured in. knowing that fema was cutting emergency communication lines... this idea does not come as a suprise to me. i am curious what seismographic data centers you may be aware of that may havepicked up something. any ideas?
