There was a report on NPR this morning that was a natural update to the attached article on your page. The researchers interviewed stated that because there is no mandatory reporting policy for deaths resulting from "mad-cow" disease there are no reliable statistics available. They suspect that if Alzheimer sufferers were tested after death for the disease up to 40,000 of those annually would actually be the results of vCJD. Could this be the reults of low-income senior citizens eatting pet food in an effort to save money? The rendered animals used in animal feed is where the cows contracted BSE which, if consumed, mutates into vCJD in humans.

Kent: I am sending these URLs as they are unbelievable. I worry that if the public interest is sparked by what is shown in the images, NASA, JPL and Malin will pull them or start limiting access. I hope somebody is downloading the entire database of images. I could not imagine that any observant person in their right mind would not understand these are images of some strange life form, not just "defrosting dunes." I find it truly unbelievable that Malin and Edgett would debate the presence of water when something as profound as these images suggest is completely ignored. I would venture a guess that the patterns captured here are markers of a large mold or fungus and that the black streamers are spore releases. SLEUTHS: More recent fireballs, keep watch for dead critters

Hello Kent, we have been under heavy cloud cover at night, so no sightings. But, right after the Kansas fireball our chickens started molting out of season, and have quit laying. We live in southwest MO in the county outside of Springfield, about an hour and a half from the OK border. Our neighbors calves all seem to be getting eye infections. I don't know if this ties in to the fireballs or not, but we've always had very healthy chickens. Thanks for the sight, where else would we find out how it all comes together?

Kent: Just a brief note to let you know that a couple of weeks ago there were news items here ( New Zealand ) reporting that hundreds of sparrows were found dead in and around Christchurch. The film showed someone picking them up in handfulls... Blamed rather unconvincingly on "Salmonella"..

Just wanna let you know, There was a Fireball going thru the sky, the nite of the 25th of october... In New-Brunswick, Canada. I saw it on the news, and in a newspaper as well.

Kent, A rather large and fast moving meteoric object was seen last night by myself and two of my children. We were out trick or treating at about 6:pm, in our town just outside of Green Bay Wisconsin. The skies were mostly clear, with only some high, wispy clouds intermittently covering the moon. My 3 year old daughter (who loves watching the skies for planes, and is fascinated by them) looked up over the house across the street and said "Plane!" I looked in the direction she had pointed, due east. Sure enough, at just over the house I saw a very bright, single source of light, very similar to how a plane would appear if it were very high, and very far away. Only, it was seemed much brighter than it should have been. As I looked away that thought struck me as odd, as did something else. It had been moving extremely fast for an object which seemed to be so far away. I quickly looked back (not a second later) and the object was even brighter, and now nearly overhead! It had streaked halfway across the sky in a second. As I watched, a tail formed, the main source of light seemed to separate into two, then three pieces, all trailing right behind each other. It shot toward the western sky where it finally winked out, just before I would have lost it in the trees standing over & behind the house in front of which I stood.

This was most certainly a meteor of some sort, but it was certainly much larger & brighter than those normally seen this time of year. Just FYI!

kent, what would cause the shadows to double? this phenomenon has been seen twice on seperate occasions by different individuals. i also saw this 'doubling' of the shadows of the trees where i live back in june. i just put it off as a trick of the light. now with others talking about it i wonder.... these occurences were in bright, broad daylight

The phenomena of shadow doubling mentioned by a correspondent sounds like the strange light bars seen during the total solar eclipse last year. Discovery channel ran a special the night after the eclipse that reported on the observed parallel shadow bands. They attributed the bands to an optical illusion produced by the lensing effect of temperature differentials in the atmosphere. But, the bands were only seen immediately prior to totality which decreased the total light output by a very high percentage, so that might indicate that there was something absorbing a percentage of the visible sunlight above the observer. Kent, I couldn't help but think of the novel "Lucifer's Hammer" when I saw this on your site! That was one of the forewarning signs of the incoming comet in that novel - people saw a double shadow from the trees...and their own shadow was double!! Have you ever read that novel?

Dixon CA is home to at he next generation project Haarp and I watched it being built by Australian crews and ground testing performed by Portuguese crews. Naval Housing was turned into Mexican Migrant farmworker housing/test group for human guinea pigs. The system is remotely operated by fiber optic by the US Air Force and contains multiple elements capable of creating beat upon beat subsonic harmonics which could be anti missile as well as anti-human energy beam weapons each pair of elements is supported by six leaning radial towers with a central vertical post about 40 feet tall and looks like a trap door spider web. Kent, I was reading the article on HAARP which mentions sulfur hexafluoride and recognized this. Go to Rense.com. There's an article citing the Salt Lake City Tribune (10-21-00).

detailing federal government scientists conducting two different atmospheric studies in Salt Lake City this month. The article goes on to say that sulfur hexafluoride will be one of the chemicals sprayed over the area. It's interesting to see a link between aerial chemical spraying and HAARP.

Kent- Mercury formed an inferior conjunction with the Sun yesterday (10/30) .66 degrees south of the sun. As the current SOHO/LASCO movies are dated yesterday, it's possible that Mercury is either hidden behind the coronal mask or lost in glare off the Sun's lower limb. With Mercury currently orbiting between the Earth and the Sun (inferior conj), almost no sunlight reflects off its surface toward us, leaving us with a mere fleck of light glinting off the planet's edge. Watch for a fast moving fleck off to the Sun's right in upcoming C2 and C3 images. Hopefully, there are no fast moving flecks heading our way!

Some minutes ago, several Internet Backbones failed in Germany's University Networks and also the connection to America was lost. The reason is still unknown, but I guess it has something to do with the peak in the SOHO graph at this moment (13:00 GMT). One or two weeks ago similar occured during such a peak, when a large area in Hamburg was without power for several hours.

I'm seeing a nice display of Northern Lights right now (8:30-9:30 Eastern)...I've seen several in the past, but never quite like this one. A bluish/white arc...like a rainbow...centered to the North and very steady in intensity. And a vertical band of red to the North West that varies in intensity.
